National Institutes of Health Arthritis Award

The National Institutes of Health and the National Institute of Minority Health and Health Disparities awards ZetrOZ Systems a Phase II SBIR grant to develop the next generation of sam® technology to treat patients with arthritis and slow the progression of the disease to reduce the need for surgery. Phase I research results concluded that sam® was successful in treating arthritis pain without the need for other pain management approaches including medication.

Department of Defense Wound Healing Award

The United States Army Medical Material Agency (USAMMA) has awarded ZetrOZ Systems in collaboration with the University of Miami a Phase II contract to develop the next generation of sam® technology to accelerate the healing of soft tissue injuries. Phase I results have demonstrated that sam® accelerates the healing of soft tissue injuries by over 50% compared with standard of care.

Medical Design Excellence Awards Winner - sam®

The Medical Design Excellence Award (MDEA) is the MedTech Industry’s premier award program. ZetrOZ received the Bronze award for its sam® device.

Small Business Innovation Research Award and the Small Business Technology Transfer Award

Governor Malloy congratulated ZetrOZ as a recipient of the Small Business Innovation Research Award and the Small Business Technology Transfer Award.

National Space Biomedical Research Institute (NSBRI) Award and the 2013 SBIR/STTR Grant

Senator Blumenthal and the Honorable Jim Himes recognized the company as a recipient of a Federal Industry Leveraging Award at the SBIR/STTR Awards Breakfast for their “innovative work to further technology, research, development, and commercialization.” ZetrOZ is a recipient of the National Space Biomedical Research Institute (NSBRI) Award and the 2013 SBIR/STTR Grant.

Medica and CompaMed Trade Shows, Dusseldorf

Medica is the world’s largest medical trade fair, and CompaMed is the leading international trade fair for Medtech suppliers. sam® placed second in the “Top 10” list of best innovations at these trade shows held in Dusseldorf, as ranked by Medical Design Technology Magazine.

10th Annual Beacon Medical Technology Award

The Biomedical Engineering Alliance and Consortium (BEACON) is dedicated to the development and commercialization of new medical technology. At its 2014 annual meeting, BEACON gave its Medical Technology Award to ZetrOZ for developing the world’s only multi-hour wearable device, sam®, for pain relief and accelerated healing cleared by the FDA and CE marked.

Connecticut Innovation Summit 2014

The Innovation Summit is one of six signature events run by the Connecticut Technology Council each year. From among nearly 100 tech companies to watch, ZetrOZ was named the Most Promising New Technology Product Company of the Year, as well as a 2014 Tech Company to Watch.
